EARLY MUSIC ALBERTA EVENTS

Early Music Alberta’s Annual Concert Series produces an annual concert series – The Early Music Festival, as Alberta’s preeminent artistic event devoted to the presentation and preservation of music written prior to 1850. 

The Festival hosts concerts, workshops, masterclasses, dance, and reading sessions. The festival brings together ensembles, musicians, and audiences from across Alberta, Canada, and the world.

Community concerts presented by amateur musicians are intermixed with professional performances by national and internationally recognized musicians, creating a forum to further develop the practice of early music.
